blue cheese

was taking dinner+supper with friends last fri, there is a stall that selling "smelly tau fu" (chou tau fu, cantonese).

we then start the discussion about, why people love it?
it's smelly..to those who don't like....
it's nice...to those who love it!!
it tastes....hmm, duno,din eat before...and I not dare to try la!! ..hehee... ;p

then, dunno how, Irene then talked about "the making of blue cheese"

I: u know how they make blue cheese??

we: shaking our heads..

I: They will inject the bacteria into the cheese.

v: O_o?

I: after few days or weeks, the bacteria will turn into worms. and then, those worm will survived by eating the cheese. after months, the worms will also die in the cheese and then those 'blue blue mold' will pop out. then, the blue cheese is done!!

v: err..... o, like this uh?...hmm........

honestly speaking, that was the first time i heard about the making of blue cheese, with injection?? and then worms....?? then those 'mold'?? hmm....

v: any of you all eat blue cheese?

all:no!no...very smelly one...

v: how you guys know it's smelly ler??

I: go to tesco or giant la....then u take the blue cheese put close to the nose..then you'll smell it!

actually,I din have much idea about how blue cheese taste and how they make it. I just have the perception that blue cheese is a nice cheese (I thought it is just like normal cheese with added flavor) but, after Irene told that....hmm...... I'll say NO!!! blue cheese...

hmm,is it really true about her version of the making of blue cheese?? maybe gonna search later.......if I remember...ha! ;p
